Identify where repeatable intellectual property could replace bespoke build for financial services clients, oversee development of new assets that accelerate delivery, and drive them from concept to client adoption. The role was explicitly about setting product direction, roadmap and implementation strategy rather than hands-on technical work.
Conceived after working with financial services clients on their pain points and developed with IBM Distinguished Engineers and Architects. It took a service specification as input and generated, committed, built, tested, deployed and instrumented microservices end to end with no human intervention. Launched with the client's Salesforce organization, then extended into buyer-initiated payments, cloud, datafiles and risk.
Executive reporting to a joint steering committee; risk management including a ROAM board; delivery management across the portfolio with quality gates and SDLC compliance; capacity planning, hiring and coaching the next line of leadership.
